About the pantry

The Hygiene and Food Pantry began in February 2012 and
continues the Christian tradition of providing much-needed food and hygiene
products to those less fortunate.  It is
open to everyone, regardless of religious faith or background, serving anyone
in need who lives in Welland.

The Food Pantry provides the basic essentials of food for
individuals and families, allowing them the dignity to select for themselves the
products they need.  The hygiene section is
the only fully-stocked source of hygiene items in the City of Welland. All who
come through our doors will find everything from laundry detergent, baby care
items, soap, shampoo, feminine hygiene products, and other essentials.  Clients choose according to their needs,
granting them dignity and self-respect.

The demand for both hygiene and food products has increased,
as has the number of clients. We are seeing increasing numbers of seniors
reaching out for assistance. Many families new to Canada, either immigrants or
refugees, come through our doors for help, often with young children and
grandparents.
